A network of like-minded businesses who you could connect with, share ideas and even socialise with from time to time at exclusive, home based business networking events. A network of coaches, mentors and industry specialists to answer the difficult questions for you and support you as you grow your business. A network of information, inspiration and entertainment delivered through your own, dedicated internet radio station broadcasting 24/7. Welcome to your Home Base Business Network (HBBN).

HBBN is the initiative of two business entrepreneurs from North West Sydney – both passionate about small business and the community. Both past presidents of the Sydney Business Chamber and both originally home based business owners. Together with a common drive to connect small business and help them grow and prosper.

Dr Jim Taggart

In 1987, Jim entered the finance industry and has successfully developed his businesses since to service nearly 5,000 clients. He has completed a Masters Degree in Commerce, majoring in Financial Planning; Diploma of Teaching; Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from Macquarie University; holds the FChFP, and is a Certified Financial Planner™.

Jim has attained a Doctorate in Business Administration, holds a QPIB qualification for General Insurance and in November 2005 was awarded the 2005 Zurich/AFA Adviser of the Year. In September 2012 Jim attained Adjunct Professorship with Notre Dame University, Australia.

He has been actively involved in community activities such as the Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal, Local Chambers of Commerce, Sydney 2000 Olympics Fundraising Committee for Western Sydney and is a current Board member of the Western Sydney Academy of Sport.

In January 2006 Jim was awarded with the Hills Shire 2006 Australia Day Award for Community Service and received a Medal of the Order of Australia in the 2010.

Tony Eades

Tony is the Director of Brand Strategy at BrandManager, a digital inbound marketing agency in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. He assists businesses large and small to become market leaders through innovative brand strategy, creative communications and digital marketing – delivering measurable ROI across multiple platforms.

Tony is passionate about digital marketing and thrives on helping businesses develop and grow their brands. He writes for a number of publications on the subject of business brand strategy including Anthill magazine, Dynamic Business, CEO magazine, Business Director and Telstra Small Business.
